Right Now

In one room...

This is Will's M.O. He'll be up soon to eat and then pass out again, no doubt. As much as we're looking forward to playing with him more, we'll take it while it lasts.

In another room... Jane has enthusiastically been performing her nap-time monologue for over an hour, all the while bouncing up and down in her crib. (In case you wondered where those calf muscles came from.) Topics covered include:
  • "Baby William is so cute! I want to get him out of his bassinet and play with him."
  • "We will have popsicles today. We will eat them!!"
  • A recitation of How do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?
  • A narrative of her efforts to remove her pillowcase. "My pillowcase is too soft. I took it off!"
It's gotten ominously quiet in there now -- better go check it out.

Jane had managed to remove her diaper from underneath her shorts. She has really honed her nap-avoidance techniques lately!
