Uncle Joe

My Uncle Joe recently came all the way from Austin, TX just to see me. It was awesome. I mean, check out his 'stache... how could I not love this guy?

He may look tough, but he's a total softie. We had a great time.

Come back soon, Unc!

Hangin' with the Big Kids

After Polly's parents made my Mom's birthday by having us over for lunch, you'd think we could at least post some photos.

It's just that the whole thing was rather embarrassing for me. Polly and Sam can sit up, I can't... as evidenced by this picture. Polly and Sam are just so cool and collected, and I'm, well, not.

It's just so hard being the little one.

Baptism

Well, folks, it's official. I am a child of God.

I didn't cry when the old guy sprinkled water on me, and I made it all the way through the remainder of the service (apparently while flashing the rest of the congregation).

I even waited until after church to poop all over my pretty, pretty dress. It was a great day!

Strolling in Style

Eager to resolve today's nap strike, Mommy thought a walk in the freezing cold might help. Of course, this meant I had to wear the fabulous faux-fur snowsuit (for fear of hypothermia, pneumonia, etc.). Which, of course, would not fit into my carseat. So... (drumroll, please!) I got to ride in the stroller, without my carseat! The view was fantastic, and I stayed nice and warm.

I still refused to nap.

And A Happy New Year

As you know this was my first holiday season, and it was pretty awesome. We spent Christmas day at home... we opened gifts, sang a little, played a little, and ate a little. All together a wonderful day.

Mom and Dad were all excited about my first Christmas and were acting even dorkier than usual.

The next day, we went to Champaign-Urbana to visit some family. As Mom was bragging, I'm learning to play well with others. I met my great Aunt Mary for the first time, and we had a ball!

Whatever you celebrate, I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season. Happy New Year!

Aw, Mom, don't be so hard on yourself...

You're plenty funny. See?
