Three Months Old!

Well, my darling little Will, Mommy has been slow to pick this up. What can I say, we've been busy! I can't believe how the first three months of your life have flown by. You are getting to be such a big boy. Really! At your two month visit, you were almost 15 pounds and over two feet long.

You're getting so big in other ways, too. You are strong and holding your head up really well these days. You like to sit up in your Bumpo chair and enjoy the view. You are such a cheerful little guy -- always smiling and treating us to little giggles. You are very social and interested in other people, too, which is something your sister was decidedly not at three months.

While Jane refused to be held by anyone else at this age, you are happy to be passed around. You are generally pretty tolerant. As long as you have a fresh diaper, you're not hungry, and you're not too tired, you're a happy little dude. I'm sure some of this has to do with being the second child -- we can't always immediately run at the slightest little squeak, and you deal. You're already sucking on your fingers and self soothing like a champ. You're a laid back little guy, and it's a joy to be your mommy.

Even more so because as of late, you've been getting good at the sleep thing. We're putting you down earlier, and you're rewarding us by often waking up just once between 8PM and 7AM. Good boy. You're also taking a pretty consistent morning nap, and cat napping in the afternoon. With both you and Janie to play with, that still doesn't leave a lot of time for other things like updating the baby blog. Thanks for giving me a few minutes to do it today.

I love you, my sweet little boy,
Mommy
